"Anastazzo" is a neologism created by myself as a kind of confession. It comes from the biblical greek word "anastasis" which means "resurrection", especially referring to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And this is an idea - a fact! - that I consider to be one of the most important facts in the history of humanity. For me this is the basis for my personal faith and hope. It simply means that even the death does not have the last word. I know of no message that would be more positive about the life and death in this world.

 

So what does "Anastazzo" mean? I translate it for myself as "resurrection man" - the one that believes in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and - because of this -  also in the "resurrection of the body and life eternal" with God. But resurrection is not only a matter of distant past or future. It is a matter of today´s life as well. Bible is often referring to resurrection when describing the "new life" of those who follow Jesus Christ. They should live as those who "died to sin" and rose up to a life under God´s blessing and mercy, shaping the daily life according to His standards.

 

"Anastazzo"? - Because i just identify with the message and implications of the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. And this is pretty much the very basic confession of every Christian.
